A Song That Makes You Happy
Currently a song that makes me happy is "Firework" by Katy Perry. I think it's such an uplifting song. It tells you to harness all you are worth and flourish. It sends a great message. Everyone should "own the night, like the 4th of July". I can't help but smile when I hear it.
A Song That Makes You Sad
I am not sure but there is not one time I hear "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwwod and not choke up. I don't think it's meant to be so sad, it's about a boy in the foster system, a single mom in homeless shelter, and an old man in resting home. All of them know the home they have now is only temporary and they will find a real home later. The part that that just gets me is the old man. Carrie's voice as it cracks when the old man tells his family not to feel sad, and he can see God's face. Gets me every time!
